Practice Tour
Reception This is the first room you would enter in the building. On the walls there are numerous displays giving advice on medical conditions, diets and insurance. The displays are constantly being revised and updated. There is always at least one veterinary nurse on hand to give advice.
Operating Theatre level 2 This is our operating theatre situated on the first floor. We have a second theatre upstairs to allow us to operate on cats and small furries i.e. rabbits and guinea pigs, away from barking dogs. We have found this approach makes for a more relaxed patient as they are not harrassed by the smell and noises from what to them is a predator. It is fully equipped and situated adjacent to the cattery.

Theatre level 1 This is the original theatre situated on the ground floor. This is used more by dogs than other pets. Their kennels are situated next to the theatre. Just as they would terrify any cat or similar small pet, the sight or smell of a cat could excite a dog especially one that has been starved for surgery! This is also another reason for the seperation of these two species. This theatre is also used for radiography. It is more convenient to take x-rays downstairs as the darkroom is also situated in a small room adjacent to the theatre. All dental proceedures are also performed downstairs. |
![]() Consultation room This is our main consulting room, where we see all our appointments |
Kennel room Our kennel room is downstairs and is specifically for dogs and any wild animals, which may be brought to us. The kennels vary in size to accommodate the variety of pet dogs we see in practice. They are also all stainless steel, with locking doors - to prevent escape. The access to the fully enclosed garden is gained through the kennels. This allows dogs access to grass and concrete without having to travel far. |
Cattery This is on the 1st floor next to the theatre. The room provides numerous kennels - all stainless steel - to house a variety of animals, it is fully central heated, light and airy. The cages are always locked and doors shut to prevent any animal escaping. |
